Snakes as Pets

Some people like to keep snakes as pets. While the nonvenomous species can be good pets, venomous snakes are not good pets and should not be kept as such. Caring for a pet (nonvenomous) snake is relatively easy although they have temperature and humidity requiriments that vary by species. What's nice is that you only need to feed them once a week or every other week.However, You should chabge out their water frequently, everyday or every other day. You also must clean out the cage about once a month. Now that we've gone over the basic care requirements we will now see the temperature(hot side) and humidity requirements for a few species that are commonly kept as pets. See the table below:
